The Effects of Diabetes on Periodontal Health
Kim Crilly is a registered nurse and exercise physiologist with 30 years of professional experience. She had worked in a variety of settings including in-patient care, academia, wellness, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and community health. Kim has a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, an associate’s degree in Nursing, a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and a master’s degree in Community and Public Health Nursing. Additionally, Kim holds multiple fitness and nutrition certifications, and is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). As a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist she has experience teaching diabetes self-management education classes, leading support groups and serving as a program supervisor. Kim also has a strong background in cardiac care. She instructs Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support classes and serves as a faculty member for the Adventist HealthCare life support training center.
Kim’s passion is empowering and teaching others how to prevent and manage chronic conditions for an improved quality of life. Her background in community and public health nursing is extensive. This passion and background fueled Kim to start a business that offers diabetes management and wellness services.
